This is my favorite place to eat at in Claremore. The staff is friendly and really accommodate to your needs. I'm a vegetarian and wanted to eat something that wasn't a salad and ordered a philly sub without the meat. He made the best veggie version with lots of veggies and cheese with jalepeños since I like it spicy. Their special sauce that they put on it is delicious and really takes the sub to the next level. Their falafel is also great. They add pickles to it which I love. You can tell everything they make is fresh and made to order. I also love their chocolate chip cookies and their homemade ranch is also amazing. Can't wait for my next visit.

The good is always good at Bill and Ruth's. I've had a variety of different sandwiches and I've never been disappointed. Tonight I tried the burger and it was good too. Not a big fan of their cookies but that's a minor detail.
My only complaint is it seems they don't get real enthusiastic about keeping the tables cleaned off. -

Won't be back. Most restaurants today recognize that some people have food allergies and/or dietary limitations, but not this place.
I have been put on a gluten free diet by my doctor. It's been difficult adjusting but I've found many restaurants that make it easy for me to substitute away bread items. One of my favorites is to have the insides of a sandwich such as a Philly cheesesteak served over french fries instead of on bread. Because many times I want a hot meal instead of just a salad, ya know?
Well I have been craving a gyro for a while and when I found this place on Yelp and saw that they had main dish baked potatoes on the menu I got excited thinking the gyro on a potato instead of pita bread sounded great.
When I placed the order I explained that I could not eat the pita for allergy reasons but would like to know if they could put the filling ingredients on a baked potato instead. He said sure. Then I asked if the hummus side order came with veggies for dipping. He said no it comes with a pita. So I asked if they could sub some sliced cucumbers instead. He said "most people just eat it with the pita." Having just explained the gluten allergy and asking for my gyro on a potato I was rather frustrated to say the least but I pressed on and asked again for cucumber. He told me they had a veggie bowl in the refrigerator case by the register. So I get to the register and they want over $4 for these veggies that are to go with a $2 side of hummus. I said no way. More frustrated than ever I asked again for cucumber and told them to up-charge it if they had to. When I opened the container they put them in I found five slices. Seriously, five! So now I have 95% of the hummus to take home because there was nothing more to dip it with. The cashier (who was aware of the order substitution) was bussing the table next to me after I ran out of cucumber and she asked how it was...I told her there weren't very many and I ran out. She just said "sorry" and went back what she was doing.
Then came the potato dish... it was not even close to what I ordered. No gyro toppings at all! They have a main dish potato on their menu with steak in it so when I looked at my receipt I saw that it was what I had been charged for I realized that was what I had been served. Even if I had noticed that at the register I would have assumed they rung up that potato just for pricing and the kitchen had been told to put the gyro on it. But they didn't do that. After all my explanation he put in an order for something he figured was "close" I'm sure. Just like he expected me to eat pita with my hummus right after I explained I needed to substitute a potato for the pita on my gyro!
Not only was this whole experience super frustrating the potato I got was not very good. I just ate it. I figured trying to have it re-made was pointless.
And my husbands Reuben and onion rings were "eh" according to him. -

Tasty and fresh but a bit pricey and not remarkable, when compared the chain sub shops. Personally, I wouldn't drive out of my way to revisit this Mom and Pop. The food was good and service quick, for the tail end of the lunch rush...but just average, IMHO.

Fast service. Sandwiches are always fresh . Soup is always hot (although I only get the broccoli cheddar). All that aside. The monster chocolate chip cookie will ruin your day...and waistline-irresistible for me. It's why I keep coming back.
